Finkelstein Library to Host “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” Program for Young Children

The Finkelstein Memorial Library is offering the “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” early literacy program, aimed at encouraging families to read regularly with their young children.

The initiative allows children to track the books they read at home or in the library, with small incentives provided as milestones are reached. The program is designed to help build early language skills and foster a habit of reading before kindergarten.

The library noted that similar programs may also be available at other local libraries.
