Eruv Inspectors Find Unprecedented Damage in Pomona; Crews Working to Restore Line

By Rockland Daily Staff

A serious break was discovered in the eruv from Route 202 until Call Hollow Road, including sections that go deep into the woods.

The eruv in this area is checked weekly by people walking the entire route. During this week’s inspection on Wednesday, they found extensive damage, far more than anything seen before. It appears that someone intentionally cut the eruv strings along a large stretch, not just a small section.

Baruch Hashem, the damage was detected early enough for repairs to be carried out in time for Shabbos. Crews are currently on scene and actively fixing the eruv.

Further updates will be provided as needed.
