Communicated: Election Day Is Here: Rockland Turns Out for Aron Wieder
Today, Rockland’s heimishe tzibur are heading to the polls to send Reb Aron Bentzion Wieder back to Albany.
Gedolei Rabbonim of Monsey have signed letters calling on every resident to vote. Shuls, mosdos and askanim across the county are spreading the same message: this one matters, and nobody stays home.
The reason is simple. Aron Wieder delivers.
In just two years in the Assembly, he raised the child-care voucher budget from $11 million to $19 million and brought nearly $20 million in new funding to the district. He got sidewalks built on Saddle River Road and new bus lines running in Kaser and New Square. Away from the headlines, his office has resolved more than 1,500 cases for people tangled up with the state.
Hatzolah leaders credit him with getting a critical license approved within days, after months of being stuck, so they can now transfer patients between hospitals. Administrators of mosdos hatorah say one call to his office is often all it takes to clear up an issue with the state.
Organizers are reminding voters to find Wieder on the Democratic line. Vote however you vote in the other races, but make sure not to skip this one.
Free rides to the polls are available all day. Call 845.609.3100.
Go out and vote.
