As polls open across Rockland County this morning, a growing number of voices in the Orthodox community are making a late case for Democrat Cait Conley in the race for New York's 17th Congressional District. Their reason is simple: families are stretched thinner than ever, and the help they depend on is on the chopping block and affordability is taking the front and center of people's concerns as they head to the polls.

Conley has made healthcare the center of her campaign. She has fought the Republican budget that would take coverage away from tens of thousands of people in this district. For the many families in our community who rely on Medicaid, the stakes have never been higher. She has also pledged to lower insurance premiums, and to take on the cost of living that is crushing families across the Hudson Valley. Our families need more help, not more cuts.

Conley has also come to our community several times during this campaign. Each time, she sat down with community leaders and residents to hear about the issues facing our families, our Mosdos, and the individuals who need help. She showed a deep willingness to listen. And she made a promise: when she is elected, she will show up for our community and work alongside our leaders to deliver.

NY-17 is one of a handful of races that will decide who controls the House. Our community needs a representative with a seat at that table, one who will listen to our needs and deliver. Every vote counts, and polls are open today.
