This week the Clarkstown Police Department said farewell to longtime Sergeant Dan Burke, who began his career with the Clarkstown Police Department in July of 1996. Before joining the Clarkstown Police Department he served in the US Navy.
In 2014 Burke was promoted to Sergeant, and has served in that capacity until now. He held several roles over the past 28 years, including on the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT), the Rockland County Narcotics Task Force, and as a member of the Honor Guard.
Sergeant Burke's dedicated service earned him prestigious awards such as the Medal of Valor and the Combat Cross.
