Chaotic Crime Spree Ends on George Washington Bridge

A Bronx man, Uvaldo Gonzalez, led police on a wild crime spree on Sunday, slashing an officer during a confrontation on the George Washington Bridge.
After crashing a stolen car in New Jersey, Gonzalez attempted several carjackings, including trying to steal a police cruiser. During the struggle, he slashed Port Authority Officer Miguel Correa before being subdued by officers.
Gonzalez, who has a history of criminal offenses, was arrested and faces multiple charges, including attempted murder and aggravated assault.
All three officers involved in the incident were taken to the same hospital for treatment of minor injuries. After receiving medical care, they were released.
