Breaking News: Skver Rebbe’s Long-Awaited Hachnasas Sefer Torah Set for Parshas Terumah

In the early hours of Simchas Torah, an electrifying announcement filled the air as the Skver Kehilah celebrated Hakufis in their new, grand Beis Medrash: the much-anticipated Hachnasas Sefer Torah of the Rebbe’s personal Sefer Torah will take place during Parshas Terumah.

This Sefer Torah, initiated by the Rebbe himself, has been a community-wide project since its inception on 19 Elul 2017. At the grand Kesivas Sefer Torah event in the RCC complex, the Rebbe invited the entire Kehilah - including men, women, and children - to participate in this historic endeavor. Members took on personal commitments in areas such as tznius, technology use, and other Yiddishkeit foundations, marking a unique Kesher between the community and this special Sefer Torah.

Over the last seven years, each member who contributed through their kabbalos received a recognition plaque, symbolizing their commitment and connection to the Rebbe’s mission and Sefer Torah.

This Simchas Torah, after years of anticipation, the community finally heard the announcement they’d been waiting for: the Sefer Torah’s dedication ceremony will be held during Parshas Terumah. Although a specific date has not yet been given, excitement is already building for this monumental event.
