BDE: Reb Dovid Baruch Omri, z"l
YS GOLD
We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Dovid Baruch Omri, a longtime Monsey resident who was beloved by all those who knew him. He was 63 years of age and suffered immensely in recent years.
Reb Dovid Baruch was of Moroccan descent, and was ensnared by the Zionists in Eretz Yisroel before embarking on his own--with great mesirus nefesh--to live a life of Torah and mitzvos.
He was a brilliant man who knew eight languages, and he gained the admiration of everyone with whom he came in contact.
On account of his talent and linguistic abilities, he was offered a lucrative position, but he declined it because it would have required him to work on Shabbos. Instead, he lived a life of poverty and mesirus nefesh for all his life.
He lived near the Bobov-45 Beis Medrash on Blauvelt Road, and this is where his levaya will take place at 8:00 this evening.
Yehi zichro baruch.
