Arrest Made for Twin Avenue Career Criminal

Arrest Made for Twin Avenue Career Criminal

by Chana Weinman

Another Twin Avenue arrest was made last week for a resident already well-known to local law enforcement for his constant criminal activity together with his housemates, as reported by Rockland Daily here, and especially his constant thefts from cars in the area.

While the thief had already been caught numerous times before breaking into cars in the neighborhood, the value of what was stolen was never enough to keep him in jail until last week when he broke into a car on Adar Court and, among other items, stole a check. After he wrote it out to seven thousand dollars and attempted to cash it, the bank teller became suspicious and called the police, leading to the thief's arrest.  He was additionally linked to a car break-in on Elm Street, where a substantial amount of cash was stolen.

Charges are being pressed against him, and bail was set high enough that, as of now, one of the known Twin Avenue thieves remains behind bars, much to the relief of the neighbors.
