All Clear Issued After Bomb Threat Near Vien School on Union Road; Investigation Ongoing

A bomb threat was reportedly received at the Spring Valley Police Department involving an incident on Union Road, in the area of the Vien School, prompting a police response and precautionary safety measures.

Authorities said the threat does not appear to be connected directly to the school, but multiple units were dispatched to the area to investigate and ensure public safety.

As a precaution, the Vien School was evacuated, and police expanded their search efforts using specialized K-9 units and drones to scan the area and assist in the investigation. In addition to Spring Valley Police, Rockland County Sheriff’s units and K-9 teams were also spotted on scene assisting with the response.

Officials have since determined the area is safe, and the scene has been cleared. 

While the immediate safety concern has been addressed, authorities say the investigation remains ongoing as they work to determine the source of the threat and any potential circumstances surrounding it.
