The Small Business Assistance Grant Program, created to support small businesses within Rockland County, designated $250,000 in grant funds that are available for small businesses, Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Director of Economic Development and Tourism Lucy Redzeposki announced.

“Businesses with 25 employees or less are eligible to apply for grants between $5,000 and $15,000 for expenses incurred after March 3, 2020,” County Executive Day said.

Businesses who match the eligibility requirements will be able to receive grants for the following expenses:

-Rent/ Mortgage (arrears)

-Inventory

-Marketing expenses

-Small equipment

-Supplies

-Maintenance/ repairs

"Small businesses are the foundation for economic growth in Rockland County,” said County Executive Day. “We know how difficult the last two years have been financially for our local businesses. Utilizing these funds to support them will help them continue to rebuild and recover from the damage caused by the pandemic. I strongly encourage Minority and Women owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and Veteran-owned businesses to apply."
