Downtown West Nyack’s revitalization project, which brought infrastructure upgrades, improved parking, and a new playground to the area, was marked with a plaque dedication ceremony Thursday morning.

Supervisor George Hoehmann and the Town Board held the ceremony at 11 a.m. at 726 West Nyack Road to announce the project’s completion.

The work included upgrades to stormwater management infrastructure and utilities, along with improvements to parking and traffic flow throughout the downtown area.

The project also enhanced the streetscape and walkability, while adding a new recreational playground.

The gathering brought together elected officials, the project contractor, the town engineer, Heritage of West Nyack board members, and local businesses to mark the investment in the community.
