Weather Alert: Additional Snowfall Expected Overnight and Into Tomorrow
The predicted amount of accumulation expected for Rockland County in tonight's upcoming snowstorm has increased to a potential twelve inches of snowfall.
Snow will start tonight, beginning as rain around 1 a.m., leaving three to five inches of heavy wet accumulation before morning.
Another five to eight inches of snow is expected to blanket Rockland throughout Tuesday morning, tapering off around noon. The overcast sky will turn to sun, and the mercury will rise to 38 degrees by 4 p.m., although the windchill will make it feel like seven degrees colder.
