Wannabe Thief’s Career Meets A Quick End

Video footage captured on Parker St shows how a multiple car robbery was narrowly avoided last night.

Camera footage shows a male suspect riding a bike which he had stolen from a house down the street, right before 1:00am. The suspect then stops at several parked cars and tries to open the doors, but lucky for the owners, the cars were all locked.

The wannabe thief then continued to West Street and tried the door of another car. Unfortunately for him, the car belonged to a Chaverim member who was sitting in the vehicle. The Chaverim member immediately called for backup and tried to pin him down, but the suspect managed to run to the train tracks at West Church St, and started following the tracks back to Maple Ave, where multiple Chaverim members were waiting for him.

The MTA Police and Spring Valley police quickly arrived at the scene and took custody of the suspect.
