Village of Spring Valley Honors Those Who Saved Lives During Recent Fires
A ceremony was held today at the Village of Spring Valley's Town Hall to honor the heroes who played a pivotal role in saving lives during the three significant fires the village has faced over the past month.
Each fire presented its own set of challenges. However, thanks to the collective efforts of those at the scene, major injuries were averted.
The three fires included the West Eckerson Apartment Fire, the Slinn Avenue Apartment Fire, and the 14 Union Road Harvest House Fire.
Representatives were on hand from the Spring Valley Police Department, Spring Hill EMS, Spring Valley Fire Department, Spring Hill Community Advisory Council, Hatzolah EMS of Rockland, Chaverim of Rockland, and the Red Cross of Rockland to accept public thanks for their dedication and professionalism during the three fires..
Your selfless acts of service in the face of adversity have not gone unnoticed, and it is only fitting that we come together to acknowledge and honor them.
"Being a part of a community where all organizations work together for the betterment of all is something worth acknowledging. " Village of Spring Valley Deputy Mayor Yisroel Eisenbach shares with Rockland Daily. "It is an honor to be here and to recognize the efforts of these more than 250 people, most of whom are volunteers, for their dedicated work, not only in these three instances but around the clock day in and day out. The Village of Spring Valley is lucky to have all of you and your organizations as a part of our village."
