Village Of Spring Valley Cancels Alternate Purim Traffic Routes Following Public Feedback

By Idy Perl

A few weeks ago the Village of Spring Valley announced that they will be implementing street changes on Purim to help ease traffic. The Village asked the public for their feedback and suggestions to determine which streets should be closed or made into a one-way.

The suggestions piled in, and it became clear that the majority of Spring Valley residents don't want any changes to be made to local roads. The Village listened, and decided not to implement any alternate routes or street changes this year.

"Since the public made it clear that we shouldn't do it, we decided this year we won't," Spring Valley Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach says. "However, if after Purim the public feels that there's a need to do something next year, they can send us an email to make suggestions for next year."
