Village of Kaser Approved to Become Passport Application Acceptance Facilty

by M.C. Millman

The Village of Kaser earned approval to become a much-needed Passport Application Acceptance Facility serving the community's passport needs.

The Village of Kaser has long been open to assisting the public with their passport needs, holding bi-annual passport events to expedite the process for residents. Now, Rocklanders will not have to wait for the next Village of Kaser passport event, as the Passport Application Acceptance Facility will be open all year round.

Until now, Rockland residents have been able to apply for or renew their passports in Rockland at the Rockland County Clerk's Office in New City or at local post offices, where one can book an appointment here.

The effort to allow the Village of Kaser to become a Passport Application Acceptance Facility was spearheaded by Congressman Mike Lawler and  District Director Rafi Silberberg.

Subsequent steps for the Village include a training and setup process before the center will be open for appointments.
