Vehicle Fire Spreads To Brush On NYS Thruway Near Spring Valley Marketplace

A vehicle fire on the NYS Thruway northbound, right near the exit 14 ramp to the Spring Valley Marketplace, almost turned into a much bigger disaster after the flames spread to the brush on the side of the highway. 

The fire spread quickly and almost got to the other side of the ramp. The Nanuet and Spring Valley Fire Departments quickly responded and managed to extinguish the flames before it could cause further damage. 

All passengers from the car were safely evacuated and didn't sustain any injuries.
