UPDATE - Traffic Alert: Numerous Roads Closed Due to Yesterday's Flooding Throughout the County

UPDATE: 10:17 a.m.

Rockland County Executive Ed Day spoke this morning about the timeline Rocklanders can look towards concerning things getting back to normal.

"The best news we've got is that there is no rain in the forecast for the next few days," Day told News 12. "That will help with the recession of water," Day shared. "I'm probably looking at days not longer than that because of the assistance that we'll get will be the water not feeding into these areas and allowing natural drainage to take place. "

UPDATE: 9:31 a.m.

The New York State Department of Transportation warns drivers not to drive around road-closed signage.

"Before you travel, check 511NY.org for the latest travel information," the DOT tweeted. "Heavy rainfall across NYS caused dangerous flooded roadways. Today, more rain is expected to produce widespread flash flooding in NYS."
