UPDATE: Pomona Eruv Repaired in Time For Shabbos

by YS GOLD

Reb Chaim M Steinmetz of the Pomona eruv committee spoke with Rockland Daily on Thursday evening to clarify the situation regarding the local eruv which sustained enormous damage.

He explained that it was only through great siyatta dishmaya that the damage was noticed on   Wednesday, early enough for the crews to restore the eruv (the usual weekly check takes place on Thursday).

“One of our members passed by a certain section and noticed some damage. When he got to check on this,  he realized that the damage was far more extensive than initially thought.

Repairmen were on site early Thursday morning to repair multiple sections which had been damaged.

“I’m happy to report than as of this evening, the eruv in Pomona is kosher for us this Shabbos Parashas Vayeishev,” Rabbi Steinmetz said.
