Update: Arrest Made After  Stabbing in Downtown Spring Valley Leaves Victim in Critical Condition

Police report that they have arrested a man wanted in connection with last week's stabbing that left a victim in critical condition.

After a 34-year-old victim was rushed to Nyack Hospital after being stabbed in the neck Tuesday night during a fight in front of the Alizeh Food Mart, located at 22 North Main Street in Spring Valley, the attacker is still on the run as he fled the scene before police could respond. 

The victim is now in stable condition.

A violent stabbing on North Main Street near Lawrence Street in Spring Valley has left a man in critical condition. 

According to police reports, the victim was attacked with a sharp object and sustained a deep stab wound to his neck. The patient was rushed to Nyack Hospital, where he is in critical condition.

Both Ramapo Police, Spring Valley, and Clarkstown Police Department, New York State Troopers, and Sheriff's Department are at the scene searching with K9's for the perpetrator.
