Upcoming Sidewalk Project in Nyack

By Rockland Daily Staff
The Village of Nyack's upcoming sidewalk improvement project will take place on Broadway in downtown Nyack. The project will start on the east side of Broadway in the vicinity of 85 South Broadway. At that location, a section of the sidewalk "buffer" between the walking surface and the curb will be removed and repoured. The sidewalk will remain open during this work, which is expected to last three days.
Work will continue on Broadway for the following two weeks as per the following schedule
1. 85 S. Broadway (area by curb, sidewalk stays open throughout construction – planned start: May 15).
2. First Avenue and N. Broadway, northeast corner only (sidewalk closed for replacement – planned start estimated May 22).
3. Broadway between Burd Street and Remsen Avenue (east side) (sidewalk closed for replacement – planned start late May).
Start Date: May 15th for a 2-3 week duration.
During this time, there may be temporary disruptions to pedestrian traffic and parking along this section of Broadway. Visitors to the area should plan travel routes accordingly and consider alternative paths if necessary.
