Upcoming Road Closure on South Pascack Road in Spring Valley
By Akivah W.
The New York State Department of Transportation has announced that South Pascack Road will be temporarily closed to through traffic next month as part of an ongoing infrastructure improvement project.
The closure will take place between Pipetown Hill Road and Perlman Drive to allow for the replacement of the Route 59 Bridge over South Pascack Road. According to the NYSDOT, this project, identified as D265445, is necessary to ensure the long-term safety and reliability of the roadway.
Closure Schedule:
Work is scheduled to occur from Monday, November 3rd through Friday, November 14th, 2025. During this time, South Pascack Road will be closed to through traffic, but local access will be maintained for residents and businesses up to the construction area.
Detours and Delays:
A signed detour will be posted to guide motorists around the closure area. Drivers should plan for possible temporary delays and are asked to follow all posted detour and construction signs for their safety as well as the safety of work crews.
This short-term closure is part of the state’s efforts to upgrade local infrastructure and improve travel conditions for Rockland County residents.
