Two-year-old Boy Drowns in Nanuet Backyard Pool
A 2-year-old child was pronounced dead on Sunday after being
removed from a family pool unresponsive, the Daily Voice reported.
The incident occurred in Nanuet on Tennyson Drive at around
8 pm when Clarkstown Police Officers were dispatched for a reported drowing case
involving a toddler.
The family was performing CPR when the officers arrived,
according to the police.
Officers resumed lifesaving measures with the aid of an AED
as Rockland Paramedics and Nanuet Ambulance arrived on the scene.
The child was transported to Montefiore - Nyack Hospital by
Nanuet Ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead, Peters said.
An investigation into how this tragic incident occurred is being conducted by the Clarkstown Police Detective Bureau.
