TONIGHT: Mega Millions Prize $1.55 Billion, Third Largest in History

Tuesday night’s Mega Millions jackpot of approximately $1.55 billion will mark the third largest in the lottery’s history. 

This after there were no winners in Friday night’s drawing, in which the numbers were 11, 30, 45, 52, and 56, and a Mega Ball of 20.

The largest jackpot lottery in history was in January of 2016, when the Powerball rose to $1.586 billion, and was split by three ticket winners in three states. 

The prize has continued to rise steadily as there has not been a winner since April 18 of this year.  A lucky winner in Tuesday night’s lottery could walk away with a lump sum of $757.2 million before taxes.
