Thruway Closure at Exit 12 Due to Overturned Tractor-Trailer

Motorists traveling on the Thruway near Exit 12 are experiencing significant traffic as authorities have closed the roadway following an incident involving an overturned tractor-trailer.

Authorities have closed the eastbound lanes of I-287/NYS Thruway as well as the Exit 12 acceleration ramp to I-95 north as a result of the incident. Traffic diversion to I-95 south remains in effect.

The closure and diversions are expected to remain in place for an estimated duration of 3-4 hours as authorities work to clear the scene and safely remove the overturned tractor-trailer.
