Thruway Authority Reminds Drivers to Slow Down as Construction Resumes

By Rockland Daily Staff
During the July 4th weekend, construction on the Thruway came to a halt to ease traffic congestion for holiday travelers.
With the holiday now over, construction activities have resumed, and the Thruway Authority has issued important reminders for drivers to slow down and remain vigilant when approaching construction zones.
The bright orange construction zone signs are in place to alert drivers of ongoing work and to ensure the safety of both workers and travelers. By doing so, drivers can help prevent accidents and ensure a smoother flow of traffic as construction projects continue.
