Thousands of Passengers Stranded at Newark Airport

Wednesday is day four of a travel crisis affecting Newark Airport, where thousands of passengers continue to be stranded following flight cancellations over weather conditions. 

As the situation continues, passengers are forced to pay for hotels or remain camped out at the airport. 

“Newark Airport was absolutely bonkers, btw. Still haven’t got my bag. I just went home,” Tweeted one passenger fortunate enough to have the option of going home. 

"@UnitedAirlines, my 15 hours delay at Newark Airport has been a blast. It’s a connecting flight which makes it even “better. You telling me this is due to “weather” AND not being able to get a crew AFTER A 15-hour delay is incredible,” tweeted another. 

As of Wednesday morning, the airport was experiencing 136 cancellations and 42 delays, affecting thousands of passengers.
