Thiells Fire Department Responds To Brush Fire In Haverstraw

On Monday afternoon the Thiells Fire Department responded to a call of a brush fire on Ecology Lane in Haverstraw.

Upon arrival, they found that the fire had already spread with the flames covering a 20-30 foot area within a 70x30 foot yard. Multiple vehicles were called to the scene to help fight the blaze, including a brush truck, tanker, and more. 

Crews fought the fire for around an hour before the flames were fully extinguished, leaving behind a large area of charred ground.
