Suspect In Double Murder Case Indicted And Arraigned On Multiple Murder Charges

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced today that Alan Abad, also known as “Alina Abad,” of Westwood, NJ, has been indicted and arraigned on multiple murder charges in connection with the brutal killings of his two aunts, Evelyn Aguilar-Agustin and Anabelly Aguilar.
A Rockland County Grand Jury indicted Abad on one count of Murder in the First Degree, a class “A” felony, and two counts of Murder in the Second Degree, class “A” felonies.
The charges stem from a tragic incident that occurred on February 15, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m. at 4 Gesner Drive in Spring Valley, NY. Prosecutors allege that Abad inflicted blunt force trauma on both victims, causing fatal injuries. Aguilar-Agustin sustained trauma to the head, face, and abdomen, while Aguilar suffered cervical spine fractures, brain injuries, and hemorrhages leading to her death.
“The defendant has been indicted on Murder in the First Degree and two counts of Murder in the Second Degree,” said District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II. “The victims, who were the defendant’s aunts, were brutally and senselessly murdered. We will seek justice for the victims and their families, and I offer my sincere condolences to the surviving family members.”
