Suspect Arrested after Vehicle Pursuit from Montvale, NJ

On November 2, 2024, at approximately 7:50 pm, the Clarkstown Police Department responded to a request for assistance from the Montvale Police Department during a pursuit involving a vehicle connected to burglary suspects from their jurisdiction.

The pursuit concluded in the vicinity of Lake Nanuet Road and Pittsford Way in Nanuet.

Upon reaching the location, officers from the Montvale Police Department reported that all three suspects fled the vehicle on foot. Clarkstown PD officers quickly joined the search efforts, utilizing CPD (UAV) Drone Unit and K9 teams to locate the suspects. Despite extensive search efforts in collaboration with several local and state law enforcement agencies, the other two suspects, described as males in dark clothing, remain at large.

One suspect, identified as Mr. Jacob A. Ortega-Espinoza, a 27-year-old male with no fixed address, was apprehended shortly after fleeing the vehicle. He faces charges including fugitive from justice, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass. Mr. Ortega-Espinoza is currently awaiting arraignment at police headquarters.
