Their phones ring constantly with people seeking guidance and medical referrals.

Walk into a Bikur Cholim house near a hospital, and you immediately feel the care. Everything is there. Tefillin. Talleisim. Seforim and books to learn or read quietly. Hot food. Snacks. Families staying near hospitals don’t have to worry about basics, and that peace of mind matters more than words can say.

Bikur Cholim operates 14 hospital pantries and maintains Shabbos apartments near major medical centers, allowing families to stay close to loved ones without worrying about logistics. Transportation is provided from local areas, easing another heavy burden.

The scope of the work is staggering, even though it’s done quietly. Nearly 39,485 meals are served daily. Each one represents a patient, a spouse, a parent, or a child who was able to keep going because of Bikur Cholim.
