Suffern Police Locate Missing Senior

Rockland Daily Staff
After his wife went missing, a Suffern resident called the police at 11:20 p.m. last night.
The 76-year-old was reported to have gone out for a short walk hours prior and had not returned.
Suffern Police Officers responded and interviewed the husband. Given the duration of time that had elapsed since the woman had left on her walk, the Rockland County Sheriff's Office bloodhound was requested to the scene.
RCSO Deputy Sheriff Brian Neary and K9 Galli began tracking the missing woman. Through the use of surveillance footage provided by a resident as well as the bloodhound's tracking skills, the woman who had fallen in a wooded area was located. Rockland Paramedic Services and Spring Hill EMS transported her to Good Samaritan Hospital for precautionary medical evaluation.
