Suffern Central School District Updates Community After Hoax Bomb Threat

Suffern Central School District Updates Community After Hoax Bomb Threat

by M.C. Millman

Suffern Central School District released the following update after a bomb threat was called into the school at 7:35 this morning, as reported by Rockland Daily here.

"This morning, Suffern High School received a swatting call (hoax message) and is working with the Ramapo Police Department to ensure the safety of our building. Please know all students are safe. However, this situation is resulting in bus delays across the entire district.

To that end, your child's bus will most likely be delayed this morning. We appreciate your patience as we gather additional information and will be sending out communication on bus routes as we have it.

All elementary schools and the middle school are open, and non-bus riders can arrive to school on time. Parents are welcome to drive their children to school this morning if possible. Please know that no student will be marked tardy today at any school, and the bus routes will continue, however, they will be delayed."
