Strelisker Rebbe Will Open Beis Medrash on Monsey this Week
YS GOLD
It is with great excitement that Chassidim from the Monsey community are preparing to welcome the Rebbe of Strelisk, shlit”a, who is expected to relocate to Monsey, and establish his permanent residence there, and open a new beis medrash bearing the name of his holy forebears of the Strelisker dynasty.
The Rebbe, shlit”a, is the eldest son of the Rebbe of Strelisk, HaRav HaTzaddik Rabbi Yaakov Shlomo Klughoft, zt”l, who passed away two years ago. He is a grandson of the Rebbe of Strelisk, HaRav HaTzaddik Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Klughoft, zt”l, one of the distinguished admorim in the city of London, and a son-in-law of the holy Rebbe, the Baal Me’or Yisrael of Skulen, zt”l.
Since the Rebbe ascended to the mantle of leadership following the passing of his father, chassidim and admirers have devoted themselves to the major undertaking of establishing a mikdash me’at, where the Rebbe will influence the community through his abundant wellsprings of Torah and chassidus—drawing from the treasured legacy of his holy ancestors, and from the noble Skulen dynasty, where the Rebbe, shlit”a, was spiritually nurtured for decades in the shadow of his great father-in-law, the Rebbe, zt”l.
Preparations are now underway for the opening of the new Strelisker beis medrash this coming Shabbos Kodesh, Parshas Shemos, at a beautiful location on Meron Drive in Monsey. For the moment, the Rebbe, shlit”a, will make his way to Monsey every Shabbos to lead the tefillos and conduct the tischen with a plan to relocate permanently to Monsey in the near future.
