Street Naming To Honor Congers Firefighter

By Idy Perl
Tomorrow, August 12th, a street naming will take place in Congers to honor a longtime firefighter of the Congers Fire Department.
Al Magnatta is a WWII veteran and has been a member of the Congers Fire Department for nearly eight decades. He previously served as a chief and still continues to be an active member with the department until today.
Al celebrated his 100th birthday earlier this year, and will be honored with the intersection of Chauncy Street and Endicott Street in Congers getting named after him.
The naming ceremony will take place on Tuesday at 5pm.
