Stony Point Resident Shot and Killed During Dispute

Jason Colwell, age 47, from Garnerville, was shot and killed during a dispute at a home in Stony Point on Mott Farm Road at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 17.

Javier Medina Jr., age 21, a resident of the home, was charged with second-degree murder and remanded to the Rockland County Jail without bail.

The murder weapon was found at the scene and collected as evidence.

Three women who were there at the time of the shooting provided statements to police detectives, while Medina refused to answer questions without an attorney present.

The investigation is ongoing.
