Stony Point Police Ask Residents for Assistance in Shooting Incident

Stony Point Police responded to a call at Dickens St and Pyngyp Rd 10PM Monday night and a shelter-in-place order was issued for the entire area during the incident.
Rockland Daily spoke with a Stony Point resident who said they heard gunshots around 10PM and saw a large police presence afterwards.
The Stony Point Police are asking residents with security cameras in the Dickens St and Pyngyp Rd area to check their cameras for any suspicious activity between 9:30PM-12AM and contact the police with any information. Police also stated that a suspect is in custody and that an investigation is ongoing.
