The Spring Valley Police Department responded to an astonishing 22,314 calls for service in 2025, reflecting the department’s constant dedication and strong commitment to public safety as it served the Spring Valley community throughout the year.

Officials said the number of calls highlights the broad range of situations officers respond to on a daily basis, underscoring the department’s steady presence and active role in keeping the village safe.

Police Chief Richard Oleszczuk told Rockland Daily that the figures reflect both the demands of policing the village and the commitment of the officers who serve it. “I’m very proud of our Spring Valley community and of our police officers who do a great job of protecting it,” Oleszczuk said. “While Spring Valley may look small on a map (only two square miles), it is very densely populated and always has a lot going on.”

Spring Valley Deputy Mayor Sruly Eisenbach also praised the department’s work, saying he is proud of the men and women of the Spring Valley Police Department and describing it as one of the top police departments in Rockland County. Eisenbach said the department is known not only for responding to calls, but for actively solving crimes and working closely with village leadership to protect residents.

Village officials said the Spring Valley Police Department remains committed to serving the community, responding whenever needed, and keeping the village safe.
