Spring Valley Police Department Holds Groundbreaking for Building Expansion.

The Village of Spring Valley Police Department held a groundbreaking ceremony for a department expansion project. 

The Locker Room Enhancement Project will expand the men's and women's locker rooms, turning them into state-of-the-art facilities. A new evidence room is also in the works, as the old evidence room will be utilized for the locker room expansion. 

"I am grateful that the Village was able to secure this grant and that this work can be done at no cost to our taxpayers," Village of Spring Valley Deputy Mayor Yisroel Eisenbach shares with Rockland Daily. "This renovation was something that has long been overdue for our police department, and I am happy that it is finally getting done. I would also like to compliment our Director of Community Development and Housing Nida Sharif, and the engineers who have worked closely with the village on this project to ensure this gets done expeditiously."

Funding for the project came from a $500,000 grant awarded to the police department.
