Spring Valley Announces Community Cleanup Events at Memorial Park

The Village of Spring Valley is inviting residents to take part in upcoming community cleanup events at Memorial Park as part of a broader effort to keep local public spaces clean and maintained.

The first cleanup is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, in recognition of Earth Day, and will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the park. A second event is planned for Friday, August 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., focused on a back-to-school cleanup ahead of the new school year.

Organizers say the events are open to all ages, with supplies provided for volunteers. Participants can also earn community service hours for taking part in the cleanups.

The initiative is being organized by “Keep Rockland Beautiful” in coordination with other community groups and local partners, with the goal of encouraging residents to take an active role in maintaining shared spaces.
