Skeletal Remains Discovered off Route 59 in Nanuet

Clarkstown Police were horrified when a construction worker reported findings of skeletal remains near a former homeless campsite Friday morning.

The campsite area, where the construction worker came across the unidentified remains, is situated in a wooded area off Route 59 in Nanuet, near the State Thruway. 

The disturbing discovery is currently under investigation but at this point, there is no evidence that a crime has occurred.
