Sentencing for 2021 Rockland County Stabbing and Carjacking

Two Rockland County residents have been sentenced in connection with a violent beating and carjacking in 2021.

Officials say 28-year-old Dwayne Hicks of Spring Valley and 27-year-old Tnaiya Williams of New City lured the victim to a particular residence in New City. Hicks, Williams, and multiple other assailants brutally beat, slashed, and stabbed the victim with a large knife. Assailants stole the keys to the victim's car and fled. 

According to court documents, Hicks has been sentenced to 12 years in prison, and Williams to four.
