Senator Bill Weber's re-election campaign kicked off last night in Nanuet in front of a major crowd.
Congressman Mike Lawler flew in from Washington for the event. Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny, and Stony Point Supervisor Jim Monaghan were some of the evening's special guests. Notable Askonim, including Chestnut Ridge Ridge Deputy Mayor Chaim Rose, Spring Valley Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach, and Ariel Dahan, Candidate for Rockland County Legislature, were in attendance, along with civil servants Rafi Silberberg and Mort Becker.
Senator Weber spoke about his accomplishments, including securing 80 million dollars in foundation aid for public schools and his plan to transfer the cost of school transportation and other mandated services from the local school districts to the State, which will be a win-win for the public and private schools. He also discussed the need to repeal bail reform and make living in New York more affordable.
