Senator Bill Weber to Host Press Conference Demanding Answers from NYSED Commissioner and State Monitors Regarding the Suddenly Discovered $30 Million Surplus in East Ramapo

Senator Bill Weber will hold a press conference to address the suddenly discovered $30 million surplus in the East Ramapo School District. The press conference will take place 10:30am at 163 Airport Executive Park, Nanuet, NY 10954.

Senator Weber will demand accountability from the New York State Education Department (NYSED), Commissioner Betty Rosa, and the previous and current state-appointed monitors overseeing the district.  

This sudden discovered surplus raises serious questions about the district's fiscal monitors' supposed financial oversight and the allocation of funds intended to benefit students and schools.

Senator Weber will outline his concerns, one that is shared by the taxpayers, and will call for immediate transparency and corrective action.
