Senator Bill Weber’s Office Hosts Community Blood Drive in Haverstraw

By Yisroel R.

State Senator Bill Weber’s office will be hosting a community blood drive on Monday, December 29, giving local residents an opportunity to donate blood and help save lives.

The blood drive will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Haverstraw King’s Daughters Library, located at 10 West Ramapo Road in Haverstraw, inside the Community Room. The drive is being held in partnership with the New York Blood Center, which continues to emphasize the importance of maintaining a steady blood supply across New York State.

Appointments are preferred, though walk-ins will be welcomed if space permits. Those interested in donating can schedule an appointment by calling 800-933-2566 or by visiting nybc.org/donate. Donors are reminded to eat and drink beforehand and to bring a valid donor ID or photo identification.

Senator Weber’s office encouraged community members to take part, noting that a single blood donation can help multiple patients and make a meaningful difference for families throughout the region.
