Senate Minority Leader Rob Ortt Tours Key Rockland Locations in Support of Senator Weber
Rockland County, NY—Senate Minority Leader Rob Ortt visited Rockland County on Monday, September 30, to tour educational institutions alongside New York State Senator Weber. The tour underscored Senator Ortt’s support of Senator Weber and their joint efforts to advance educational opportunities and preserve cultural heritage within the district.
The tour began at Rockland Community College, where Senate Minority Leader Ortt and Senator Weber met with Dr. Beth Coyle, the college's Officer in Charge, and Chair Martin Wortendyke.
The RCC visit was followed by a tour of the Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education with Andrea Winograd, the museum's executive director. Yossi Rubinstein of the Yizkor Foundation joined as well. Discussions centered around ongoing efforts to bolster Holocaust education and the need for continued support of educational initiatives that preserve historical memory and educate future generations about the Holocaust.
The next visit was to the Yeshiva of Spring Valley on College Road in Monsey, where the group was welcomed by Sruly Orzel, Chair of the Yeshiva of Spring Valley, who addressed students and staff. The visit focused on the importance of maintaining school choice and private school autonomy.
The tour concluded at Bobov Yeshiva on Viola Road, where Senator Weber’s recent successful efforts to secure transportation services for Yeshiva students were highlighted.
