Satmar Monsey to Host First-Ever Lag BaOmer Fire

By Rockland Daily Staff
For the first time, the Satmar Monsey Rav will lead a Lag BaOmer bonfire celebration in the heart of Monsey, in attendance of his yeshiva, Kehila, and Monsey residents.
Last year, the Rav privately lit the bonfire with his yeshiva students, and today, it was announced that this year, the event will be open to everyone, on a larger scale, in the spacious parking lot of the Shul at 1 Monsey Blvd.
As Lag BaOmer approaches, this marks the second new Lag Beomer fire in Monsey this year, following the announcement from the Rachmastrivka Spring Valley Kehila. This celebration promises to illuminate the night for thousands of residents, offering sacred moments of joy and unity.
