Satmar Kehilla Purchases Property For New Shul

The Satmar community in Monsey is celebrating an exciting move forward.

The Beis Medrash in the Union area has been housed in a rental for many years and announced a while ago that they will be purchasing a property to build a new, expanded shul. Yesterday they announced the exciting news that they have gone into contract on the property at 49 Twin Ave, Spring Valley.

A beautiful 12,000 square-foot shul will be constructed on the property to accommodate the growing kehilla. The new Bhm"d will house a few Heichlei Hatfilah, a Beis Hoiruah, Beautiful Mikva, and many more accommodations for the entire Kehila and neighborhood.

The Satmar Rebbe and the Satmar Monsey Rav, Harav Halberstam, both gave their blessings for the purchase, expressing their hope to soon see the new Beis Medrash built with grandeur and flourish as a center for Torah and tefillah for all.
