Satmar Kehila Closes on Crestview Terrace Lot for New Shul

The Satmar community has officially closed on a lot on Crestview Terrace in the Route 306 area, where a magnificent new shul is planned to be built.

The deal, originally reported on Rockland Daily in April 2024, was made with the bracha of the Satmar Rebbe and the Satmar Rov of Monsey.

The Satmar kehila, whose central location is currently at 1 Monsey Blvd, has long outgrown its existing space. With many families now living throughout Monsey and its surrounding neighborhoods, several new shuls are being established to accommodate the growing spread-out community.

This new shul is expected to be a grand and beautiful center of Torah and tefillah, serving as a hub for the entire area.
